Washington County is located in the state of Tennessee. The county was formed in 1777 and named after George Washington. The county seat is Jonesborough. As of 2010, the county has a population of 122,979. The county has a total area of 330 square miles, 326 square miles of which is land, and 3.3 square miles is water.
