Saluda County Overview
Established in 1896, and named for the Saluda River, Saluda County is in the state of South Carolina. As of the 2010 census, the population was 19,875. Saluda is both the county seat and the largest community. The county has a total area of 453 square miles of land, plus nine square miles of water. Adjacent counties are: Newberry to the north, Lexington to the east, Aiken to the south, Edgefield to the southwest, Greenwood to the northwest, and McCormick to the west.
