Clatsop County, Oregon Overview

Clatsop County is located on the northwesternmost tip of Oregon. Its county seat is Astoria. Created in 1844, the county was named after the Native Americans who lived along the coast of the Pacific Ocean before the Europeans settled in the area – the Clatsop tribe.

The county has 1,084 square miles of land and water. There are approximately 38,632 people living in the area based on the 2016 census. Clatsop County is bordered in the north by Pacific County and Wahkiakum County in Washington State, Columbia County in the north, and Tillamook County in the south. Clatsop Court Records Information

Court records that are classified as non-confidential or are not sealed can be accessed by the general public. Clatsop County Circuit Court records are maintained by the court staff. Requests can be made to view court documents using the kiosk computers in the lobby of the courthouse for newer court cases. Older cases that have not been digitized can be viewed by requesting the staff to retrieve the file.     I can not determine if this is an official government site for vlatsop County or a private acting as though it is. Even though the internet address reads as though it is, there is private interference , such as “CheckPeople.com”.
    I suggest this Government site remove all private interference.
    I am fully hesitant to use it to research my property ownership information.
