Wells County District Court’s Office Information

The Clerk of Court handles criminal and civil case records, hears all felony criminal cases, domestic relations cases and civil cases. In addition, the Clerk attends each session of district court; maintains records of orders and judgments of the court; draws names of jurors, and keeps records of jurors and witnesses for trials. Wells County Recorder’s Office Information

The Recorder, formerly Register of Deeds, is an elected position in Wells County. The Recorder acts as a custodian of all land records in the county and is responsible for recording and processing all legal documents related to real estate.
