Winn Parish, Louisiana Overview
Winn Parish is located in the central part of Louisiana with the Kisatchie National Forest running through it. The parish is land-locked in approximately 957 square miles with 6.7 square miles of water. Formed by land owners from Catahoula, Natchitoches, and Rapides parish in 1852, it is bordered by Jackson Parish on the north, Caldwell and La Salle Parish to the northeast, Grant Parish to the south, Natchitoches Parish to the west, and Bienville Parish to the northwest.
