Autauga County Probate Office Information

Documents such as deeds, mortgages, liens, judgments, plats, powers of attorney, incorporations, and UCCs are filed in the Recording Department of the Probate Office and kept on file for viewing in the Records Room. With the exception of military discharges and marriage licenses, all other records are open for public view, Records date back from 1820 to October 31, 1996. All documents presented for recording in the Recording Department must be originals or certified copies.

Individuals who want to view the records must do all searches in person. Staff members are available to respond to brief inquires by telephone. Staff members are also available to assist researchers in the use of Records Room equipment
