District Clerk

The District Clerk is the office of record for all proceedings heard in District Courts, and in Houston County, some civil and family matters heard in County Courts at Law. This includes the most serious personal injury, contract, real estate, and consumer lawsuits; all divorces, child support and custody cases; as well as tax collection cases.

The jury clerk receives a list of random names compiled by the Secretary of State and provided to the clerk of Houston County. The names consist of Houston county registered voters and names provided by the Texas Department of Public Safety.
