Bee County is a county located in the state of Texas. The county was formed in 1858. The county seat is Beeville and it has a population of 31,861 as of 2010. It was named after Barnard E. Bee, Sr.. The county has a total area of 880 square miles, with its land area encompassing 880 square miles, and its water area 0.1 square miles. The county consists of 11 ZIP codes, with ZIP code 78102 recorded as the one with the largest population. Moreover, Bee County borders the following counties: Karnes County, Texas to the north; Refugio County, Texas to the east; Live Oak County, Texas to the west; Goliad County, Texas to the northeast, and; San Patricio County, Texas to the southeast.

Bee County Clerk Information

In addition to serving as the clerk for the County Court and the County Commissioners’ Court, a County Clerk records and keeps records pertaining to county courts, real and personal property, and personal records. Other responsibilities include recording vital statistics, issuing marriage licenses, birth and death records, collecting court fines and fees, filing and maintaining civil and criminal court documents, and administering other miscellaneous licensing and recording requirements.

The Official Records/Deeds Department can obtain a copy of any document filed in the Recording Department. A search for a copy of a recorded document can be requested through this department.
To complete any deed search, the name of the grantee or grantor along with the year the transaction occurred is required. A legal description of the property is also helpful.
