Anderson County is located in the state of Texas. Named after Kenneth L. Anderson, the county was formed in 1846 and its county seat is Palestine. The county has a total population of 58,458, as of 2010, with its area spanning 1078 square miles (land area being 1063 square miles, while water area being 15 square miles). Anderson County Clerk Information

The County Clerk has partnered with a third-party company to provide remote access to official record indices. Six searches are possible through the website. There are two instrument inquiries which vary in the search criteria available, searching among plat indices, UCC inquiry, marriage records search, and the commissioner court minute inquiry. You’ll need to use capital letters when performing an inquiry. The default user ID and password is given and does work. The website is linked below.

An application form must be filled so that a person can obtain a certified copy of either a birth or death certificate. Forms for birth and death certificates require the name that is on the record, date of birth/death, and name of the parents, as well as of the requesting party. The fee for a certified Birth Certificate is $23.00 for each certificate. The fee for a certified Death Certificate is $21.00 for the first one and $4.00 for each additional certificate, for the same person. The links for those forms are found below.
