Morrison County is located in the U.S. state of Minnesota. The county was formed in 1856 and named after William & Allan Morrison, the fur trading brothers. The county seat is Little Falls. Morrison County Recorder’s Office Information

The Recorder’s office is the custodian of all Morrison County property records from the 1870’s to the present day. The main responsibility of the Recorder’s Office is to protect, preserve, and record documents relating to Real Estate and Vital Statistics in a methodical manner for posterity and security purposes. These records include deeds, mortgages and other various real estate documents which are recorded or filed as permanent records in this office. The County Recorder’s Office also processes and issues certified copies of birth and death certificates and marriage certificates. The Morrison County Recorder’s Office has birth, death and marriage records dating back to 1870. Military discharges, notary commissions, ministerial registrations, State and Federal tax liens for Morrison County are filed and the records maintained in the office.
