Columbia County is located in Georgia, midway along the state’s eastern border with South Carolina. As of 2010, the population was 124,053. It is part of the Augusta metropolitan area and one of the fastest-growing counties in the U.S. Although Appling is the county seat, all of the county’s government and courts are located in Evans. The total area is 308 Square miles.
