Crawford County is located in the state of Arkansas, in the Ozarks region of the U.S. According to the 2010 census, the county’s population was estimated to be 61,948. The county’s seat is Van Buren, which is also its largest city. Crawford County was founded in 1820 and named after the then United States Secretary of War, William H. Crawford. It covers an estimated area of 604 square miles.
