Kitsap County can be found in the Coastal Region of Washington. The county seat is Port Orchard. The county was created in 1857 from portions of King County and Jefferson County. It was named in honor of Chief Kitsap of the Suquamish Tribe. The county’s total area is 566 square miles with an estimated population of 266,414 (2017). Kitsap County Officials Information

The County Clerk serves as the administrative and financial officer of the Superior Court. He/she is responsible for the safekeeping of all court records and exhibits as well as issuing writs, subpoenas, and warrants as a quasi-judicial officer. As a financial officer, the Clerk manages and maintains all the financial transactions of the Superior Court.

Kitsap Court Records Information

Anyone can access public records through the Office of the County Clerk. They can also view court documents and purchase them online through the ClerkePass website. The cost of non-certified documents are $1 per page plus a $4 transaction fee. For certified documents, the cost is $3 for the first page, $1 for each additional page, and an $8 transaction fee.
