Clallam County, Washington Overview
Clallam County is located in the Coastal Region of Washington. The county seat is Port Angeles. The county was created in 1854 and named after the Klallam people, four indigenous Native American/First Nations communities from the Pacific Northwest. The county’s total area is 2,671 square miles and its estimated population is 75,474 (2016). The counties surrounding the area are San Juan County in the northeast, Jefferson County in the south, and Capital Regional District in British Columbia, Canada. Clallam County Officials Information
The County Clerk is responsible for the safekeeping of all court records of the Clallam County Superior Court. In addition, he/she provides the calendar and schedules of the court. The Clerk also serves as financial officer of the Superior Court. He/she is responsible for collecting restitution, statutory fees, fines, trust funds, and support funds as well as maintaining a trust account and disbursing the monies as ordered by the court.
