Walker County is located in the state of Texas. Named after Samuel H. Walker, the county was formed in 1846 and its county seat is Huntsville. The county has a total population of 67,861, as of 2010, with its area spanning 802 square miles (land area being 784 square miles, while water area being 17 square miles). When requesting issuances through the e-filing system:
The request form must be a separate lead document (it is not an exhibit to another document,so please do not add it as an attachment to another lead document). Select the Filing Code: On New Suites select “Application” and on Subsequent filings select “Request” Select the correct Issuance Fee under “Optional Services” If requesting issuances to be served by Certified mail or through the Walker County Constable or Sheriff, the fees for a copy of the Pleading to be served NEEDS to be paid. Select “Copy (ies)” under optional services. Upload the “Request” and do not attach the pleading to be served.

District Clerk
The District Clerk’s office provides support of the district and county court at law courts in Walker County. The District Clerk is the custodian of all court documents that are a part of any case and is responsible for the security of the records. Additionally, the District Clerk’s office is responsible for docketing, indexing and recording, collecting fees, fines and court costs and managing all funds held in litigation; and performs such other duties as are imposed by statute or rule. The office maintains the official court records and receives for filing all documents in felony criminal, family, juvenile, delinquent tax and civil court cases.
