The county has a total area of 885 square miles, 881 square miles of which is land, and 4.4 square miles is water. Parmer County Clerk Information

The County Clerk maintains official records of both the County Court and the Commissioners’ Court. He/she also serves as custodian of other important public records such as deeds, liens, judgments, powers-of-attorney, birth certificates, and death certificates. The County Clerk is responsible for receipting fines and fees ordered by the courts. The County Clerk has authority to issue marriage licenses. In Parmer County, the County Clerk administers all county and state elections, including early voting and primaries.

District Clerk

The district clerk is charged with keeping the records of the district court safe and properly arranged. The district clerk must record acts and proceedings of the district court, enter all judgments of the court under the direction of the judge, record all executions and returns issued, administer child support payments, administer trust accounts for minors as ordered by the courts, maintain an index of parties to all suits filed in district court, reference judgments made in all cases, account for all funds collected by the office, and ensure accurate payment to citizens who serve on juries in district court.
