Montgomery County is located in the state of Texas. The county was formed in 1837. The place was named after Montgomery, Texas. The county seat is Conroe. District Clerk

The District Clerk Criminal Division files and maintains all indictments handed down from the grand jury. We enter data and process all documents referencing individual cases; issue all subpoenas upon request and arrest warrant/capias upon order of the court. We assist attorneys and the public with any questions relating to felony criminal matters. The District Clerk Civil Division is responsible for filing and maintaining all civil litigation, such as personal injury, property disputes, suits on bad debts and other types of civil lawsuits and assisting the public and attorneys with any questions. The Civil Division processes all service and/or subpoenas required and is responsible for the filing and data entry of all documents received on each case until that case is concluded.
