Only qualified applicants may obtain copies of birth and death certificates. Qualified applicants are defined in the Family Code as the person named on the certificate, the mother, father, sibling, spouse, grandparent, legal guardian or legal representative. Applicants must provide valid identification such as a state issued driver’s license. To obtain a birth or death certificate by mail, the request must be in writing so please complete the attached include a copy of the applicants’ valid driver’s license along with a money order payable to Coryell County Clerk.
