Camp County is located in the state of Texas. Named after John Lafayette Camp, the county was formed in 1874 and its county seat is Pittsburg. The county has a total population of 12,401, as of 2010, with its area spanning 203 square miles (land area being 196 square miles, while water area being 7.4 square miles). Camp County borders the following counties: Titus County, Texas to the north; Upshur County, Texas to the south; Morris County, Texas to the east; Franklin County, Texas to the west, and; Wood County, Texas to the southwest.
