Brown County Clerk Information

The County Clerk has put up an online real property search in Texas Online Records. It requires you to log in, or register if you have not an account in their website. Since the website only offers real property record searches, the images that you may copy off this site have not been certified as being true and correct copies of the instruments filed and recorded with the Brown County Clerk’s Office. Certified copies of these documents can be purchased in person at the Brown County Clerk’s Office, 200 South Broadway, STE 101, Brownwood, TX 76801 or by sending a cashiers’ check or money order for the correct fee to the Brown County Clerk’s Office. Copy fees are $1.00 per page. There is an additional certification fee of $5.00 per document.

You may fill out and submit an Order Form for Birth or Death records. Valid ID and payment is required by credit/debit card, or cash in person, or request can be by mail. If request is by mail, for a certified birth certificate or a certified death certificate, you must include the notarized statement and the payment.
