Named after Blanco River, the county seat is Johnson City and it has a population of 10,497 as of 2010. Blanco County Clerk Information

The Clerk processes birth and death certificate requests. They have provided an application form for these requests, and is linked below. The form requires the name of the owner of the certificate, parents’ name, date of birth or death, as well as contact information of the applicant to be able to be contacted back.

Blanco County has been accepting e-Filings as of April 1, 2015. Electronic filing permits the filing of civil documents via the Internet. Once a document is e-Filed, the County Clerk’s Office is able to process the electronic filings any time throughout the day, which helps avert the end-of-day rush that often occurs. District Court records may be searched using the following methods:

  • A Search terminal is available in the reception area of the District Clerk’s Office from 8:00 o’clock a.m. until Noon and 1:00 o’clock p.m. until 4:30 o’clock p.m.
  • The District Clerk’s Office will conduct searches (civil and criminal) covering the past 10 years for $5.00 per name searched. Add $1.00 per year for each additional year you wish searched.
  • The cost for a copy of a document filed in a specific case is $.25 per page or $1.00 per page for certified copy.
