Bexar County is a county located in the state of Texas. The county was formed in December 20, 1836. Named after Presidio San Antonio de Bexar, the county seat is San Antonio and it has a population of 1,714,773 as of 2010. The county has a total area of 1256 square miles, with its land area encompassing 1240 square miles, and its water area 16 square miles.
