Archer County is located in the state of Texas. The county was formed in 1880 and named after Branch Tanner Archer. The county seat is Archer City. As of 2010, the county has a population of 9,054. The county has a total area of 925 square miles, 903 square miles of which is land, and 22 square miles is water. Archer County Clerk Information
An application form must be filled so that a person can obtain a certified copy of either a birth or death certificate. The forms for birth and death certificates require the name that is on the record, date of birth/death, and name of the parents, as well as information of the requesting party. The fee for a certified Birth Certificate is $23.00 for each certificate. The fee for a certified Death Certificate is $21.00 for the first one and $4.00 for each additional certificate, for the same person. A Notarized Proof of Identification, as well as an Affidavit of Personal Knowledge, is also attached to the form to be filled up. The form is linked below.
