Linn County is locate in the northwest region of Oregon and its county seat is Albany. The county was established in 1847 and named after a US Senator from Missouri, Lewis F. Linn, who supported the American settlement of the Oregon Country. Linn County has a total area of 2,309 square miles and an estimated population of 122,849 based on the last census conducted in 2016. The county is bordered by Marion County in the north, Jefferson and Deschutes Counties in the east, Lane County in the south, Benton County in the west, and Polk County in the northwest.
