Hardin County, Ohio

Located near the northwestern segment of Ohio, Hardin County was created in 1820 and named for John Hardin, who was an officer in the Revolutionary War. As of the 2010 census it had a population of only 32,058. Comprising 471 square miles, 470 of which are land, Hardin County was not organized until 1833. It is bordered to the north by Hancock County, the northeast by Wyandot County, the east by Marion County, the southeast by Union County, the south by Logan County, the southwest by Auglaize County and the northwest by Allen County.
