Darke County, Ohio

Located on the western border of Ohio, Darke County is named for an officer from the Revolution, William Darke. It consists of 600 square miles, approximately 598 of which are land and is surrounded to the north by Mercer County, the northeast by Shelby County, the east by Miami County, the southeast by Montgomery County, the south by Preble County, the southwest by Wayne County, Indiana, the west by Randolph County, Indiana and the northwest by Jay County, Indiana. There were approximately 52,959 people in the county as of the 2010 census and 23 zip codes, the most populous of which are 45304, 45331 and 45380 with 67% of the population.
