Located on the eastern border of Ohio, Columbiana County is named after explorer Christopher Columbus and is located near the Pittsburgh area to the east and south. As of the 2010 census there were 107,841 people living in this 535 square mile county, only 2.8 of which are water. Bordered to the north by Mahoning County, the northeast by Lawrence County, Pennsylvania, the east by Beaver County, Pennsylvania, the southeast by Hancock County, West Virginia, the south by Jefferson County, the southwest by Carroll County and the west by Stark County there are 24 zip codes in the county.
