Clark County, Ohio

Located near the western border of Ohio, Clark County is named for General George Rogers Clark, who was a hero of the American Revolution. With a population of approximately 138,333 as of the 2010 census, the county is made up of approximately 403 square miles, 397 of which are land. Bordered to the north by Champaign County, the east by Madison County, the south by Greene County, the southwest by Montgomery County and the west by Miami County, it’s considered the third smallest county in Ohio according to total area. The Recorder for Clark County is responsible for all property related documents within the county, which include surveys, plats and property lines. These documents are considered public record, which means that they can be requested by anyone who would like a copy of them. They are available to purchase however, as there is a fee involved in gathering and copying any information necessary. Documents can be requested online; however they are also available by in person request directly from the office, during normal business hours.

Clark County Marriage License Office
In order to obtain a marriage license in Clark County, the applicants must apply together, in person, at the County Clerk’s office. Both parties must present their state-issued picture ID, military ID, or passport, and know their social security number
