Hoke County is located in the south central region of North Carolina. The county seat is Raeford. Hoke County was established in 1911 from a portion of Cumberland and Robeson Counties. It was named in honor of Robert F. Hoke, a Confederate general in the American Civil War. The total area of the county is 392 square miles.
