Nye County is located in the U.S. state of Nevada. The county was formed in 1864 and named after James W. Nye, a governor of the Nevada Territory and U.S. senator from Nevada. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the county has a total area of 18,199 square miles of which 18,182 square miles is land and 17 square miles is water. Nye County Clerk of District Courts Office Information

The County Clerk serves as the Clerk of the Court of the County. The County Clerk also acts as the ex-officio Clerk of the Court of Record of the County. As the court’s agent, the Clerk collects statutory fees, fines, trust funds and support funds; and maintains a trust account for monies received. The Clerk also maintains an accounting system for receipting and disbursing monies ordered by the court.
