Hall County is located in the state of Nebraska. The county was established in 1858 and named after Augustus Hall, an early judge of this territory. Grand Island is the largest city in the county and also the county seat. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the county has a population of approximately 58,607 people, making it the fourth-most populous county in Nebraska. It covers a total area of 552 square miles, of which 5.9 square miles is water and 546 square miles is land.
