Cuming County is located in Northeastern Nebraska. The county seat is West Point. The county was created in 1855 and later organized in 1857. It was named in honor of a previous governor of Nebraska Territory, Thomas B. Cuming. The county’s total area measures 575 square miles. Based on the 2010 census, there are 9,139 people in this area.
