Mineral County is located in the U.S. state of Montana. The county was formed in 1914 and named after the mines and mining prospects within the county. The county seat is Superior. Mineral County borders the following counties: Sanders County, Montana to the north; Missoula County, Montana to the east; Clearwater County, Idaho to the southwest/Pacific Time Border and Shoshone County, Idaho to the northwest/Pacific Time Border. This office keeps the official records for the Montana Fourth Judicial District Court, Mineral County. The Clerk of the District Court maintains the court docket, receives and processes fines and fees, and files legal documents on the following types of cases: felony criminal, juvenile, civil, adoption, dependent neglected youth, guardianship, probate, and sanity cases. The Clerk of District Courts also collects child support payments and criminal fines and fees. Marriage licenses are issued in this office. Passport applications are processed in this office.
