Boone County is located in the U.S. state of Missouri. The county was formed in 1821 and named after Daniel Boone (1734–1820), American pioneer and hunter. The county seat is Columbia. According to the U.S. Census Bureau of 2013, the county has a population of approximately 170,773 people. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the county has a total area of 685 square miles of which 496 square miles is land and 5.6 square miles is water. Boone County Circuit Clerk’s Office Information

The Circuit Clerk is responsible for maintaining complete and accurate records of the court; collecting, accounting for and disbursing all monies paid into the court; and performing other duties, as necessary, to assist the court in performing its duties.
