Marshall County is located in the U.S. state of Minnesota. The county was formed in 1879 and named after William Rainey Marshall, the fifth governor of Minnesota (1866-1870). Marshall County Recorder’s Office Information
The Marshall County Recorder’s Office is responsible for recording all real estate transactions in the county. The Recorder’s Office also records and maintains residue certificates, exchange certificates, CECT plats, amendments, etc. The Recorder’s Office is a local Registrar of the Vital Records for Minnesota Department of Health and issues birth and death certificates. Minnesota birth certificates from 1900 to present are available at any courthouse in Minnesota. For Minnesota births prior to 1900, please contact the county in which the person was born.
