Lincoln County is located in the U.S. state of Minnesota. The county was formed in 1873 and named after Abraham Lincoln, the sixteenth president of the United States (1861-1865). The Lincoln County Recorder’s office serves as the Registrar of Titles. The duties of the Lincoln County Recorder’s Office include recording and preserving real estate documents, including deeds, mortgages, miscellaneous documents relating to real estate, and military discharges. The Lincoln County Recorder’s office is also responsible for real estate abstracting, owner’s and encumbrance reports, issuing passports and taking passport photos.
