The County Recorder’s primary responsibility is to record and maintain permanent public records involving a wide variety of instruments pertaining to real estate, birth, death, marriage, notary public, abstracting, track index searches, owner’s and encumbrance reports, state and federal tax liens, and military discharges. Clearwater County Assessor’s Office Information
The primary responsibility of the County Assessor’s Office is the valuation and classification of all taxable real and personal property within the county for property tax purposes according to Minnesota Statutes and Minnesota Department of Revenue Policies.
