Lenawee County, Michigan
Lenawee County is located in the state of Michigan. The county was formed in 1822 and organized in 1826; it was split off from Monroe County, Michigan. Adrian is the largest city in the county and also the county seat; other cities in the county include Hudson, Morenci, and Tecumseh. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the county has a population of approximately 99,892 people and total area of 761 square miles, of which 12 square miles is water and 750 square miles is land. Lenawee County is considered to be part of Southeastern Michigan. Lenawee County borders the following counties: Washtenaw County to the northeast; Jackson County to the northwest; Monroe County to the east; Hillsdale County to the west; Lucas County, Ohio, to the southeast; and Fulton County, Ohio, to the southwest.
The Lenawee County Register of Deeds Office is the recorder of all official documents in the county affecting property ownership.
