Named after the city Baton Rouge, which is French for “Red Stick.” It is bordered by West Feliciana Parish to the north, East Feliciana Parish to the northeast, East Baton Rouge Parish to the east, Iberville Parish to the southwest, and Pointe Coupee Parish to the northwest.
