West Baton Rouge Parish is located in the heart of Louisiana Plantation Country. The Parish is approximately 204 square miles in size of which 11 square miles are water. Named after the city Baton Rouge, which is French for “Red Stick.” It is bordered by West Feliciana Parish to the north, East Feliciana Parish to the northeast, East Baton Rouge Parish to the east, Iberville Parish to the southwest, and Pointe Coupee Parish to the northwest.
