Lincoln Parish is located in the northern section of Louisiana in their Sportsman’s Paradise region. This is a land-locked Parish that claims 472 square miles of which only .7 square miles are water. It is named after President Abraham Lincoln and was created as one of the “reconstruction” parishes. It is bordered by Union Parish to the north, Ouachita Parish to the east, Jackson Parish to the south, Bienville Parish to the southwest, and Claiborne Parish to the northwest.
