Lincoln Parish is located in the northern section of Louisiana in their Sportsman’s Paradise region. This is a land-locked Parish that claims 472 square miles of which only .7 square miles are water. It is named after President Abraham Lincoln and was created as one of the “reconstruction” parishes. It is bordered by Union Parish to the north, Ouachita Parish to the east, Jackson Parish to the south, Bienville Parish to the southwest, and Claiborne Parish to the northwest. The Lincoln Parish Clerk is responsible for election results, voter registration and family court information, as well as circuit court filing fees, concealed pistol permits and personal protection orders. They are also responsible for military discharges, assumed names and any and all vital records. These records are available, to the person that they are about, during normal business hours as well as via the online portal. Not all records are available through the portal.

The Register of Deeds is responsible for documents related to property, which include warranty deeds, quit claim deeds, liens and leases and mortgages.
