Grant Parish is located at the center of Louisiana in the Crossroads Region. This land-locked parish is 665 square miles in size of which 22 square miles is water. Grant Parish is named after Union General and American President Ulysses S. Grant. It is bordered by Winn parish to the north, La Salle parish to the east, Rapides Parish to the south, and Natchitoches Parish to the west.
