Robertson County is located in the U.S. state of Kentucky. The county was formed in 1867 and named after George Robertson, the former chief justice of the Kentucky court of appeals (1828–43). The county seat is Mount Olivet. According to the U.S. Census Bureau of 2013, the county has a population of approximately 2,235 people. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the county has a total area of 100 square miles of which 100 square miles is land and 0.2 square miles is water. Robertson County borders the following counties: Bracken County to the north; Mason County to the northeast; Fleming County to the southeast; Nicholas County to the south and Harrison County to the west.
