Pendleton County is located in the U.S. state of Kentucky. The county was formed in 1798 and named after Edmund Pendleton, a member of the Continental Congress. The county seat is Falmouth. According to the U.S. Census Bureau of 2013, the county has a population of approximately 14,570 people. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the county has a total area of 282 square miles of which 277 square miles is land and 4.8 square miles is water. Pendleton County borders the following counties: Kenton County to the northwest; Campbell County to the north; Clermont County, Ohio to the northeast; Bracken County to the east; Harrison County to the south and Grant County to the west. Pendleton County Clerk’s Office Information

Pendleton County Clerk’s Office is responsible for motor vehicle licensing, vehicle titling and transfers, recording land and legal documents, issuing marriage licenses, notary bonds, fishing and hunting licenses, and collecting delinquent taxes. The Pendleton County Clerk is also responsible for voter registration and conducting all kinds of elections in the county including primary, general and special elections. Land records include deeds, condominiums, corporate records, fixture and other UCC filings, land records fees, land use restrictions, liens, mortgages, plats, releases, and wills. All the recorded documents at the Clerk’s Office are public and can be accessed online or by visiting the County Clerk’s office in person during office hours.

When requesting copies of public records in person, a written request is required to be presented to the clerk. Hours for requesting are from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. from Monday through Friday. The fee for public records for paper copies is $0.15 per page and for audio CD it is $2.50 per CD. The person requesting a CD or paper record must first complete the Open Records Request form for audio and/or the CD information request form for paper request.
