Marion County is located in the U.S. state of Kentucky. The county was formed in 1834 and named after Francis Marion (1732–95), a Revolutionary War general. The county seat is Lebanon. According to the U.S. Census Bureau of 2013, the county has a population of approximately 20,045 people. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the county has a total area of 347 square miles of which 343 square miles is land and 3.9 square miles is water. Marion County borders the following counties: Washington County to the north; Boyle County to the northeast; Casey County to the southeast; Taylor County to the south; LaRue County to the southwest and Nelson County to the northwest. Marion County Circuit Clerk’s Office Information

The Marion County Circuit Clerk’s Office is responsible for maintaining all records of the district and circuit courts of Marion County. These records include circuit criminal cases, divorce, child custody juvenile and other domestic cases; land disputes, felony, misdemeanors and traffic cases, forcible detainers, name changes, garnishments, and appeals. The Circuit Clerk’s office also issues driver’s licenses, and motorcycle permits and licenses.
