Garrard County is located in the U.S. state of Kentucky. The county was formed in 1796 and named after James Garrard, the second Governor of Kentucky. The county seat is Lancaster. According to the U.S. Census Bureau of 2013, the county has a population of approximately 16,915 people. Garrard County borders the following counties: Jessamine County to the north; Madison County to the northeast; Rockcastle County to the southeast; Lincoln County to the southwest; Boyle County to the west and Mercer County to the northwest. Garrard County Circuit Court Clerk’s Office Information

Circuit Court Clerks are elected officials of the court and are responsible for the custody, control, and safe storage of court records for both Circuit and District Courts.
