Boyle County is located in the U.S. state of Kentucky. The county was formed in 1842 and named after John Boyle, Chief Justice of the Kentucky Court of Appeals. The county seat is Danville. According to the U.S. Census Bureau of 2013, the county has a population of approximately 29,013 people. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the county has a total area of 183 square miles of which 180 square miles is land and 2.5 square miles is water. Boyle County borders the following counties: Mercer County to the north; Garrard County to the east; Lincoln County to the southeast; Casey County to the south; Marion County to the southwest and Washington County to the northwest. Boyle County Clerk’s Office Information

The Boyle County Clerk is responsible for titling and registration of motor vehicles, issuing marriage licenses, voter registration, and conducting elections. The Clerk’s Office is also responsible for the issuance of Notary Public bonds, fishing and hunting licenses, and handling passport applications. The Clerk also collects delinquent property taxes and personal tax on motor vehicles. The Clerk records and maintains all public records which include all land records, wills, article of incorporation, military discharges, liens and lien releases, and miscellaneous recordings.
