Harper County is a county located in the state of Kansas. The county was formed in February 26, 1867. Named after Sergeant Marion Harper of the 2nd Kansas Cavalry, the county seat is Anthony and it has a population of 5860 as of 2013. The county has a total area of 803 square miles, with its land area encompassing 801 square miles, and its water area 1.5 square miles. The county consists of 10 ZIP codes, with ZIP code 67003 recorded as the one with the largest population. Register of Deeds
The register of deeds shall have custody of and safely keep and preserve all books, records, deeds, maps, paper, and microphotographs deposited or kept in the office of the register of deeds.
