Crawford County is located in the state of Kansas. The county was formed in February 13, 1867 and named after Samuel J. Crawford, Governor of Kansas. The county seat is Girard. As of 2013, the county has a population of 39278. The county has a total area of 595 square miles, 590 square miles of which is land, and 5.3 square miles is water. Register of Deeds

The Register of Deeds has custody of and safely keeps and preserves all records pertaining to all land records for Crawford County. The Register of Deeds shall also record or cause to be recorded all deeds, mortgages, surveys, plats, instruments of writings authorized by law to be recorded in the office of the Register of Deeds and shall perform all other duties as required by law.

Court Clerk Information
