Page County is a county located in the U.S. state of Iowa and established in 1847. As of the 2010 census, the population was 15,932. The county seat is also the largest community, Clarinda. The county is named in honor of Captain John Page of the 4th U.S. Infantry, who was mortally wounded in the Battle of Palo Alto. The county has a total area of 535 square miles of land, and is bordered by Montgomery County, IA to the north, Taylor County, IA to the east, Nodaway County, Missouri to the southeast, Atchison County, Missouri to the southwest, and Fremont County, IA to the west.
