Owen County is located in the U.S. state of Indiana. The county was formed in 1818 and named after Abraham Owen, the hero of the Battle of Tippecanoe. The county seat is Spencer. The Clerk’s Office is a Constitutional Office and is limited to two consecutive four-year terms. The Clerk serves as Secretary to the Election Board and Secretary to the County Records Commission.
